a King size just for me

So here I sit in my nice hotel room in Winchester, VA waiting to attend the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Fest. I got this big ol giant king size bed all to my self with fluffy feather pillows. I even have a lap desk waiting for me on my big princess bed so I can type this. What an end to a perfect day. Lunch with my great friend at Bardo today. Tempura Lobster..amazing! Great Riesling from Germany and fried dumplings with cheesecake in them and raspberry glaze...yummmmm! This will be my first time to attend this fiber fest. I now some of the vendors who will attend so I know there is going to be some good stuff to be had here.Excited about an upcoming possible opportunity  I discovered today. Many things on the horizon. And did I mention I go to school 48 hours a week? Oi. So, I am off to have my steeping tea of apple and cinnamon waiting for me. It smells like fall in a cup! Photos to follow as I am shooting 2 portfolios at the moment too.

And so we try and try again..

So I am sitting here perusing the website of ODU and their art department. They turned me down before when I applied and this time I will have an Associate degree in Studio Arts. And did I mention it was gonna be with honors? Yeah that's right my former high school from hell teachers. Honors. I hope to escape a 4th semester still on the Dean's and President's list to gradute with a hell of a GPA. But I decided to put crappy feelings of rejection aside and apply again. It said they would let you in with another Virginia degree..

On the fore front, a fiber festival in Windsor, VA coming up that I will teach at. Cornerstone Alpacas is having a nice little shindig. Cornerstone Alpacas Novemember 5. So to all few of you who read this, please support the nice folks there and come out for the festival.

My next fiber adventure will be the Shenendoah Valley Fiber Festival. I hope to take lots of photos there as well. Check back in 2 weeks for those pictures.
